Self-Care Sunday

At my monthly Self-Care Sunday sessions at Time to Be Fit Studio in East Sacramento,

every seat comes with a zero-gravity lounge chair sized for you, a cozy blanket, and a heated aromatherapy eye mask. You arrive, recline, and receive.

This is not the yoga-studio-on-the-floor version of a sound bath. It is designed for actual rest, for actual bodies, in actual comfort.

Which, in my experience, is what people came for in the first place.

Sound as Ritual

A three-hour class Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Serenity Spa Soul Yoga, Roseville.

Your nervous system is a prediction machine. When it knows what's coming, it settles. This is one reason ritual, a small sequence of actions done in the same order, has been part of every human culture on record. It gives the body something to lean on.

Sound is one of the most direct ways to build ritual into a life. A single tone marks a beginning. Silence marks an ending. Humming vibrates the vagus nerve, the main channel through which the nervous system calms itself. Slow, sustained sound slows the breath, and a slower breath shifts the body out of alert and into rest. Not mystical. Physiology.

This class is about learning to use it on purpose.

We spend three hours together designing a personal sound practice you can use at home, on a Tuesday morning, when your life is loud. You'll leave understanding why ritual works on the body, what different sounds do to your system, and how to build a practice short enough to survive the day you actually have. You'll get hands-on time with the ocean drum, and you'll take one home. The class closes with an extended sound experience together.

For anyone who has felt the effect of sound and wants to bring some of it into her own week.

$250 with ocean drum included. $200 without.

Ticketing is handled by Serenity Spa Soul Yoga. Their booking isn't live yet. Enter your email below and I'll send you the direct link the moment it opens.

Work With Me

Rest for nervous systems that forgot how.

I bring private sound baths to your home, your backyard, your office, or wherever the occasion calls for. If you have a group and a reason to gather, I can bring the sound.

Private gatherings

The best private bookings I've done have been in living rooms, in backyards under trees, in Airbnb rentals on the coast. Bridal parties before the wedding. Birthday celebrations that skip the noise for something more memorable. Women's groups. Friends who wanted to give each other an hour of quiet together.

I've also done float sound baths, which is exactly what it sounds like: guests floating in a backyard pool while sound moves across the water.

If your gathering has an occasion or backdrop that matters to you, tell me about it. Most of what I do is adapt to the space, the people, and what they need from the hour.

Workplace and team sessions

For teams that spend most of their day tense and heads-down, a sound session is one of the more effective resets I know. People close their eyes, put their devices down, and for an hour nobody is asking anything of them. They come back different.

I've been hired by the Sacramento Public Library, the District Attorney's Office, Intel, and for work retreats and corporate wellness programs. I bring everything with me. All you need is a room where people can lie down.

Recovery groups

I regularly lead sound sessions for people in drug and alcohol recovery. This is meaningful work for me and I approach it with real care. If you run or support a recovery program and want to talk about what a session might look like for your group, please reach out.

How to book

Tell me the occasion, the approximate group size, the location, and a couple of possible dates you're considering. I'll come back with pricing and a plan.
